A Decade of Service: US Airways Celebrates Ten Year Anniversary of Employee Volunteer Group

US Airways Group, Inc. (NYSE: LCC) celebrates the 10-year anniversary of its Do Crew employee volunteer group, the cornerstone of the airline’s Community Relations program.

TEMPE – The compassionate and dedicated corps of employee-volunteers participates in community-based projects in Boston, Charlotte, Las Vegas, New York, Philadelphia, Phoenix, Pittsburgh, Reno, Washington, DC and Winston-Salem.

The US Airways Do Crew, which was formed in 1997, has grown to a record 2,500 active members and, in 2006, volunteered on 205 projects with 130 various nonprofit organizations.

For the past 10 years, the Do Crew has volunteered thousands of hours in hundreds of communities on numerous projects ranging from building homes for those in need in partnership with Habitat for Humanity to distributing food, clothing and blankets for the Salvation Army.

To celebrate the 10-year anniversary, the US Airways Do Crew will hold 10 birthday parties for underprivileged children in cities across the airline’s route system.
