Bairro Alto Hotel was recently distinguished by the readers of the prestigious US magazine „Condé Nast Traveler“, awarding it 31st place in the „2009 Gold List“, a selection of the 100 Best Hotels in the World.

It is the only Portuguese hotel to feature in this list by „Condé Nast Traveler“, that also voted Bairro Alto Hotel as the 9th best in Southern Europe. This is the second time the hotel is featured in „Condé Nast Traveler“. In 2006, this 5 star boutique hotel was distinguished as one of the top 60 recently inaugurated hotels. „Condé Nast Traveler“ is a US publication specialising in Tourism and Travel, and has become famous for promoting the bets hotels, resorts and cruise companies in the world. The selection is based on the opinion of its 32 thousand readers. Bairro Alto Hotel, located in Praça Luís de Camões, in Lisboa, features 55 rooms, restaurant, bar, lounge, meeting room, gym, living room and terrace with panoramic view.
