The Government will be making available the multi-storey car park for parking at the ex Naval Ground No 2, during the time that Commonwealth Parade Car Park is unavailable due to the Fair. Car parking will be free.
Gibraltar – The Government has negotiated the loan of the multi-storey car from its current owners, in order to provide for parking as from 8.00 a.m. on Friday 14th August until Saturday 5th September, when Commonwealth Parade Car Park will once again become available for parking. Arrangements have been made from Friday 14th August until the Fair starts on Saturday 22nd August for all the parking spaces to be made available to the public at all times. However, during the Fair, parking on the ground floor will be restricted in order to provide adequate parking for people attending the Fair.
The ground floor will close at 6 p.m. daily and all vehicles parked there will have to be removed. Vehicles left behind will be towed away. The ground floor will then re-open at 8 p.m. each evening to allow persons going to the Fair to park there. Once the Fair ends and until the 5th September, all the parking spaces will again be available for use at all times. The multi-storey car park will be manned on a 24 hour basis and there will be personnel there to assist and direct with the parking.
