AirTran Airways Customers Affected by Winter Storms Moving Across the Midwest and Northeast May Change Travel Plans Without Penalty

ORLANDO, Fla., – AirTran Airways, a subsidiary of AirTran Holdings, Inc., (NYSE: AAI), advises passengers that due to a severe winter weather system moving across the U.S., some flight operations may be affected later tonight and tomorrow.

Passengers holding reservations for travel scheduled February 12 through February 14, 2007, on AirTran Airways to, from or through the cities listed below may make a change without penalty as long as changes are made within three days from the date of the original scheduled departure date. Passengers may also elect to cancel their travel plans and place the remaining balance in a credit account for use up to one year from original date of purchase, and the cancellation fee will be waived.

The following cities could be impacted: Bloomington, Ill., Akron-Canton, Oh., Dayton, Oh., Indianapolis, Ind., Detroit, Mich., Flint, Mich., Philadelphia, Pa., Pittsburgh, Pa., New York (LaGuardia and Newark), Newburgh, N.Y., White Plains, N.Y., Buffalo, N.Y., Rochester, N.Y., Richmond, Va., Newport News-Willamsburg, Va., Boston, Mass., Washington, D.C. (Baltimore Washington International, Dulles and Reagan National airports), Moline/Quad Cities, Ill., and Chicago (Midway), Ill.

Passengers are encouraged to check on their flight status online at http://www.airtran.com on the home page under „Flight Status“ or they may call the airline at 1-800-AIRTRAN. Flight cancellation updates will be posted on the site and updated for the latest information.
