Continental Airlines, Inc. (NYSE: CAL) today announced that it has contributed $71 million to its pension plans.
HOUSTON – This contribution significantly exceeds the minimum funding requirement applicable to Continental’s plans.
„This is another step that demonstrates our commitment to meeting our pension obligations,“ said Continental Chairman and CEO Larry Kellner. „We place tremendous value on helping our co-workers secure their futures.“
Since the beginning of 2002, Continental has contributed nearly $1.2 billion to its pension plans.
