Low-Cost Carrier Will Send Two Lucky Winners to the Indianapolis 500

ORLANDO – AirTran Airways, a subsidiary of AirTran Holdings, Inc. (NYSE: AAI), announced that the airline is working with Andretti Green Racing to send two racing fanatics to the 91st Indianapolis 500. Fans can enter at airtran.com/indy for a chance to win a weekend race package consisting of two bronze pit race badges, two race- day grandstand tickets, air travel for two on AirTran Airways and hotel accommodations Friday through Sunday. These lucky fans will have pit access as drivers prepare for the big race and practice at speeds in excess of 200 mph. A winner will be selected randomly on May 21, 2007.

„AirTran Airways is a sponsor of Andretti Green Racing, and we are proud to work with them to give two fans this incredible opportunity,“ said Tad Hutcheson, vice president of marketing and sales for AirTran Airways. „Like the IndyCar competitors in the Indianapolis 500, our airline is focused on reaching our destinations in a timely fashion, and we treat our passengers to amenities like free XM Satellite Radio along the way.“

Contest participants must go to AirTran Airways‘ Web site, airtran.com/indy, and enter their information, including their A+ Rewards number. A+ Rewards is the airline’s award-winning frequent flyer program, and sign-up is free. All rules related to this promotion can be found on the Web Site.

AirTran Airways, a Fortune 1000 company and one of America’s largest low- fare airlines with more than 8,600 friendly, professional Crew Members, operates more than 700 daily flights to 56 destinations. The airline’s hub is at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, where it is the second largest carrier. AirTran Airways‘ aircraft features the fuel-efficient Boeing 737-700 and 717-200 to create America’s youngest all-Boeing fleet. The airline is also the first carrier to install XM Satellite Radio on a commercial aircraft and the only airline with Business Class and XM Satellite Radio on every flight. For reservations or more information, visit airtran.com (America Online Keyword: AirTran).
