14 Properties Selected as the Best of the Best at Choice Hotels International 55th Annual Convention
Silver Spring, Md. – Choice Hotels International, Inc. today announced that 14 of the company’s franchised properties were honored at the company’s 55th Annual Convention in Washington, D.C. – each coming home as a 2009 Inn of the Year award winning hotel. From every corner of the United States and across the world, this year’s winning hotels represent the „best of the best“ among over 5,800 hotels worldwide thanks to their amazing guest satisfaction and consistent brand performance.
„This selection of elite properties truly represent the strongest, most dedicated, most consistent performers among the thousands of hotels within our global system,“ said Stephen P. Joyce, president and chief executive officer for Choice Hotels. „The owners, general managers and employees of these hotels should be proud to receive recognition of such a great accomplishment. I know we here at Choice Hotels certainly are proud of them.“
The Inn of the Year winners are selected in part by reviewing each property’s guest satisfaction scores, which are calculated using the results of surveys that are emailed to hotel guests within three days of their checkout. Selection of the award-winning properties, also based on Quality Assurance Review scores, is ultimately determined by the Choice Hotels Owners Council, the Econo Lodge Franchise Association and the Rodeway Owners Association, with collaboration from Choice Hotels among a selection of the company’s brands.
This year’s award winners all ranked within the top two percent of hotels within their brand. The 2009 Inn of the Year award winners are:
