The Ministry of Culture, in collaboration with The Fine Arts Association, will
hold, as part of the Gibraltar Spring Festival, an Art Competition in May 2011
Gibraltar – The Ministry of Culture, in collaboration with The Fine Arts Association, will hold, as part of the Gibraltar Spring Festival, an Art Competition in May 2011.
The competition is open to Gibraltarians and residents of Gibraltar aged 16 and over as at 24th May 2011. A maximum of two artworks (painting and/or sculpture) may be submitted by each artist. Works must be original and not previously entered competitively, except for entries submitted in the Ministry of Culture art competition for Young Artists. Entries will be exhibited at the Casemates Exhibition Galleries from the 25th May to the 3rd June 2011.
Prizes to be awarded are:
1st Prize The Ministry of Culture Prize £1,500
• The artwork will become property of the Ministry of Culture
2nd Prize £750
3rd Prize £500
Additionally, there will be a £500 award, kindly donated by the Alwani Foundation, to the best Gibraltar Theme entry.

Entries may be handed in at the Casemates Exhibition Galleries as from Monday 9th May 2011 between 1pm and 6pm.
