Rome – Opening the Music Festival at Sofitel Rome Villa Borghese on June 21, 2010 is the ”Antonella Aprea Quintet”.

Antonella Aprea is one of the most interesting new voices of Roman jazz. Her Quintet, with Attilio Di Giovanni on piano, Giorgio Cuscito on sax, Andrea Nunzi on the drums and Stefano Nunzi on double bass, has performed with artists such as Renzo Arbore and Romano Mussolini over the last ten years. The deep passion in Antonella’s distinctive velvety voice is perfect to interpret classics by Ella Fitzgerald, Billie Holiday, Duke Ellington and many others.

The event will be held at Sofitel Rome Villa Borghese during the Fête de la Musique.  This event, launched in France in 1982, has since taken on international proportions and is now held in over 100 countries.
