airBaltic Launches Nonstop Flights From Riga to Geneva
30.06.2009 [18:20] The Latvian national airline airBaltic is pleased to announce, that tomorrow, July 1., it will launch nonstop flights from Riga to the second largest city of Switzerland, Geneva.
Riga - airBaltic will fly to Geneva three times a week – on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays. Passengers will board a Boeing 737-500 airplane for a flight that will last for 2 hours and 50 minutes. One-way ticket prices will start at LVL 29 (EUR 42), including airport and transaction fees.
Geneva is seen as one of the world‘s most active centres for diplomacy. It is located in the westernmost part of Swizterland and is home to numerous international organisations, including several United Nations agencies and the International Committee of the Red Cross. Geneva is also known as the sixth most important financial centre in the world. It is proud of the fact that it is third on the list of quality-of-life indicators in the world. The city has an unusual history which spans the millennia. Geneva is also the birthplace of the famous Swiss clock. It is located next to the Lake Geneva, the largest lake in Switzerland, and is surrounded by the Alps and Jura mountain range.
